Continuous Professional Development Process
Introduction
A.P.P.I has developed a system to enable members log their Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points. At present, it is an individual analysts/therapists decision whether they choose to engage in the CPD logging system. To enable this process a personal CPD record form can be downloaded from the APPI website which can be submitted annually for confirmation by the company secretary. Confirmation will be achieved by cross referencing CPD record forms to APPI records of attendance at APPI sponsored events.
The Rationale
* Develop a structure for individual members of APPI to be eligible to meet both potential statutory and European regulation requirements.
* To formally acknowledge the volume of CPD work our membership is engaged in.
Requirements
* The CPD system operates over a five year cycle. The first cycle commences from May 2011 to 2016
* Members are required to accrue 250 credits over the five year cycle, 50 credits per annum
